Everyday History Of Black (Africans)

Posted by

History Made Three Hundred And Sixty Five Days

Revolutionary tales of
Evolutionary males
Institutionally caged
For the reasons of their face
More specifically race
Jessie Owens second place?
Simple history rearranged

Things they taught us
Mostly none
Simple products
Hopeless sons
Raise them cattle
Whip them coloureds
Make them serve
For what they’ve done

Sold by our own
Of course we would be bitter
Of course we wouldn’t defend
Of course we would be niggers
Ignorant to our own
History we have grown
Truth of the past
Mysteries of our throne.

Nigus!

Kings of the Kush
Kings before time
Kings not mentioned in books
What if history was
Everyday of the week?
Everyday for the weak?
Mind enslaved and diseased?

Who would Africans be?
Who would Americans see ?
When they looked at TV screens?
And watch programs
Such as CBS
Such as CNN
Such as BBC

Would it be more like BET?
Could you please
Help me out
With another coloured network
Internationally known?
It’s kind of difficult isn’t it?
Not that many media engines

Made for
Or
Made by African representatives

Mom,

Who were our descendants?
Who were our ancestral defenders?
The Kings and Queens who roamed
Spread gold on the roads

Yes,

Our history has been broken
Lines erased and eroded
Our heroes demoted
Executed and removed from the focus
Now we just appear as the token
Made to seem like we roaches
Dirty villains and hopeless

We become victims of lynching
False imprisonment systems
Shooting targets for angry
Coppers and bigots
Elemental divisions

Segregation was part of the mission
Separation from our own kind
Started in the political systems

My brothers and Sisters
Is there any room in your heart
To forgive your brothers and sisters?
For the past unfortunate events
After four hundred years have we had
Enough time to vent?
Can we channel the energy
Into vehicles of supremacy?
Focus on a united world
For our little boys and little girls

A world filled with a rewritten truth
Made to empower the youth
One that would influence our future
One that would empower the nation
To stand and salute
Not only for a month
To whom does that serve?
We need to celebrate
Three hundred and sixty-five days
All the knowledge and the history
Our ancestors gave.
