When The Wind Blows.

  • When the wind blows,

the breeze cools,
the leaves whisper.

I still smell you from oceans away.

Imagining you’ve found happiness now,
imagining you’ve come to a place where everything is alright within.

  • When the wind blows,

the breeze cools,
the leaves whisper.

Carrying your laughter across to me,
the tones sound crisper.

You are no longer bitter,
we are no longer lovers.
Strangers,
back to the way it was,
before we played with love.

  • When the wind blows,

the breeze cools,
the leaves whisper.

Yet there is this fond memory of someone I knew.
Someone quite precious,
Someone…
Like you.
