I Didn’t Get A Chance.

20130823-000015.jpg

I didn’t get a chance to,
say some things I meant to say.
I wish I could have taken the time to pick up the phone,
to pick up the pieces,
where we left off,
had my idea light switched on.
Thinking you would have seen clearly;
understood my thoughts.
I was wrong and I admit that.

I didn’t get a chance to,
travel the world with you.
I wish I could have taken you to a warm sandy beach,
so you could smile,
as the waves washed your feet.
Tell me how in this life you feel free,
tell me how this is how your life was meant to be.

I didn’t get a chance to,
love you like I dreamed.
I saw the white Pickett fence,
the two children and the dog.
The cottage by the Lake,
And now it’s all in a fog…
Now it’s all gone.
