Perpetual Unpleasantness.

How unpleasant the sound of pain,
The child cries and nobody knows its weight,
How unpleasant is this day?

Thunder sounds, but where is the rain?
The sky is blue, her lips the same.
All of a sudden I remember her name.

Smell of smoke a disgusting taste,
Ashes burn leaving scares in its place.
I should have known you wouldn’t have changed.

How unpleasant the sound of silence,
Long after the voice of violence.
Sitting patient, still and anxious.
Contemplating, dazed and fainting.
Why do I fight to stay awake?

How unpleasant is this day?
